Why do new born puppies cry?

Why do new born puppies cry? New owners commonly question why their puppies might be crying? The constant barking or whelping is their form of expression that requires your urgent attention. Similar to human infants, this is how newborn puppies are likely to communicate their requests to their caretakers. Orphaned newborns are likely to cry a lot more since they require 24-hour care and the absence of their mother can lead to problems in their diet, growth, and maintaining the ideal temperature. Crying newborn puppies may indicate problems with their environment, feed or a health issue. As a dog owner/lover, it is upsetting to see your puppy cry themselves to sleep! With such excessive crying, it is important to know what might be the possible reasons behind it are and what you can do to ease them? Providing your puppy with proper care is vital to their development. Why Do Newborn Puppies Cry? There are multiple reasons your newborn puppy is crying. The crying could indicate an imbalance in their environment, that includes having the right temperature and an adequate level of comfort. Moreover, their cries can also be a sign of lack of nursing, hunger, or a health problem that causes them discomfort. It is important to attend to your crying newborn puppies especially if it continues for longer periods. Puppies need care and comfort to grow in a healthy manner. Since they are learning about their environment, it is likely that they are troubled by it and need your help! Often, the problem is as simple as the puppy’s need to eliminate. At first, it is upsetting to be confused about what your newborn puppy wants. However, over time, dog owners start to recognize their newborn puppy’s cries and needs. They also get better at managing their puppies effectively. In addition to that, puppies too start to adapt and learn along the way. Puppy Needs Food One of the major and more common reasons your newborn puppy cries is mostly due to hunger. It’s very easy to lose track of how much food intake a newborn puppy has. As puppies are growing, their diets can fluctuate from time to time. They are likely to have a lot more food after an activity-filled day or will not enjoy the food at all if they feel under the weather. It is important to inspect their body language and recognize their needs. If they are born weak, then it is a possibility that they struggle with suckling milk. This can cause problems with nursing the puppy and providing them with their required intake of food. It is important to hand feed such puppies and allow them to build stamina. There could also be a problem with the mother dog, who could be facing problems with milk production. Your puppy is likely to cry after their feed, simply because they did not get as much as they require. It is necessary to inspect both the puppy and their mother and see whether the puppy is getting its desired amount of milk. Sometimes the puppy cannot compete with their other siblings. This may lead to them getting weaker and not getting enough food. This is also a reason why you might find newborn puppies crying. Moreover, if you notice that your newborn puppy cries right before a food, then it might be that they are not getting enough food or have an increased appetite. This is also a signal to increase the amount of food. more reasons why new born puppies cry.

DNA KIT FOR DOGS TO ANALYSE DISEASE RISK AND TRACE GENETIC TREE.

A startup is kicking off and its using dog's saliva in its tool to give dog owners the disease of their breeds and trace the pedigree. The startup called EMBARK is a DNA KIT that will give information to owners about disease risk and also trace ancestry. The company founders rolling out the product says the real objective is that the research will help to conduct various tests with the DNA samples and use the potential of dog genetics to deliver advancements in human health. Dogs and humans share many of the same kinds of conditions, hence by studying the genetics of diseases in dogs, scientists may be able to figure out how these originate in humans. The kit by engaging mass numbers of dog owners, will provide data that will unlock the potential of the dog as a model system and that is the real idea behind Embark. The founders have figured out that it’s a lot easier to fund research if study participants — or their owners — pay for the privilege of taking part in a study. Cornell University School of Veterinary Medicine has already agreed to be an Embark research partner, and the company intends to conduct its own studies, under the guidance of Adam Boyko, Embark's chief science officer, a dog geneticist at Cornell University, and Ryan’s brother. This kit will provide a framework for breeders and dog owners and will also be an important planning tool in terms of insurance.Client education about various diseases ,management and life expectancy of certain conditions will really help to address issues of breeding and animal welfare. The snag about this test will be the limiting of certain breeds and excessive breeding of other breeds which will over time phase out some breeds. # data bank #gene pool # gene bank # breeders # genetics.

The ‘charolais’ bull.

DOG BREEDERS AND SALE OF SICK PUPPIES.

Julie Crumpler Peele faces five additional felony charges of obtaining property under false pretenses. These are in addition to the two charges she already faced last month after two different viewers who say Peele sold them sick puppies. When confronted Peele in October, she denied the puppies she sells are sick."It makes me very angry," Paige McKeithan said.McKeithan told me she met Peele in July, 2014 and bought a dog named Gunner from her."My mom was holding him and we felt that the stomach was really tight, and so my mom asked if the dog was sick, and she said no he just didn't like car rides. So I thought he was just sick from that," McKeithan added. But she said within 24 hours of buying him from Peele, Gunner had to be rushed to the vet. McKeithan said the vet suspected the parvo virus and also that Gunner had parasites and bacteria in his bloodstream. She spent over $2,000 in vet care for Gunner, and said the vet did everything she could to get Gunner healthy, but nothing was working. According to ( http://abc11.com/pets/woman-allegedly-selling-sick-puppies-facing-new-charges/1077899/)She had to put Gunner down, and now she has a message for Peele: "Just for her to stop doing this and for something to be done."

COMMON CAUSES OF ABSENCE OF HEAT IN DOGS.

Dog owners and pet lovers eagerly await the time they can breed their pets.Breeding of dogs is a serious issue as so many intricacies must be considered. The breeding involves proven pedigrees that are crossed to extend a progeny and perpetuate certain traits. Breeding is time-consuming,expensive and a knowledge about your pets is required. The decision to breed should be based on inherited traits, health and temperament. The breeder must ensure that the litters have loving, caring homes that are ready to absorb them. The bitch have 2 oestrous period in a year, where the bitch responds to a stud and allows mating. The heat signs are 1) swollen vulva 2) bloody discharges 3) restlessness 4) frequent urination. The bitch will allow mating in the estrus phase of the cycle where the discharges are straw colored and there will be flagging of the tail, this is when the eggs are released and pregnancy is possible. There are cases where the owners will not observe heat signs, because the bitch is experiencing silent heat.In this situation ,the progesterone level will be a pointer that heat has actually occurred. Some other bitches are clever, and groom themselves continuously, thus making it difficult to note any discharges. Bitches can fail to come on heat if they have underlying conditions such as 1) diabetes 2)cancer 3)hypothyroidism 4) hyperadrenocorticism. When bitches have been observed to have heat problems, may be there has been no history of heat,or may be the bitch have come on heat before ,or there has been absence of heat after a whelp then a thorough examination must be carried out to ascertain status and proffer solution.
